For your information, the Army ROTC 49er Battalion will be conducting standard field training exercises this Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 on campus. Training begins Saturday at 7 a.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
Cadets will be training in the wooded areas on campus adjacent to Toby Creek. They will be wearing military gear, including ARTIFICIAL M-16 rifles.
Senior cadets and the command team will wear orange reflective vests and white arms bands to identify them as controllers of the exercise. Campus Police are fully informed about this ROTC exercise.
Cadets will be camping in the woods on Saturday night. They will be visible to the public Saturday between 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. near intramural field 8.
They also will conduct a road march Sunday between 10 a.m. and noon as cadets return to Toby Creek Park.
